Sunny Rothenhoefer 1947-2007

After several years suffering with severe heart and lung disease, my oldest sister, Sunny, passed away yesterday of a heart attack. She left behind a son and daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, her mother, and two brothers and two sisters. Sunny lived most of her life in Indiana, but moved to south Florida nine years ago. Her son and his family followed a year later. My mom told me yesterday that she thinks these last nine years have been the happiest in Sunny's life. I hope so. She was 60 years old.

Sorry to hear about Sunny... I think I remember when she moved to Florida, didn't she live near your Mom? I have been secretly following your progress and was thrilled to hear your surgery is soon. Hopefully your new bionic hip will give you powers you never dreamed of.

I have just heard the sad news of Aunt Sunny passing away. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Aunt Sunny was married to my Uncle David (Rothenhoefer)and Michael, of course, is my cousin.

I have many, many fond memories of Aunt Sunny & Michael. Aunt Sunny lived with my mother, Ann (Rothenhoefer) Hayes, while Uncle David was away at war. I can remember changing Michael's diapers. Also, going to Aunt Sunny's mother's house in Valparasio? Too many years to remember exactly where we were. But alot of good memories.

My prayers for strength, and hope that cherished memories will always be with all of you, especially Michael. Stay strong.

Michael I send all of my love and prayers to you.
